What is Mobile Phone Generation and its types?

Perhaps all of you must be using mobile phone, but do you know what this mobile phone generation is, its type and how it varies from one generation to another. Due to this change happening in these generations, with the help of telecommunication and networking from your mobiles, you can easily communicate with your friends, relatives and loved ones.

Telecommunication and networking has always been a core technology that helps mankind and technology evolve. If there was no advancement of these mobile generations, then today we would not have been taking advantage of its features, such as technology like many channels, 3G, 4G, speed internet etc.

In the technology of mobile generations, which is used in your cell phones and other mobile devices, it has evolved a lot in the last few years. This technology was started with the revolutionary 1G (which is also considered to be the earliest form of voice only network) and it has reached today's 4G and we will use 5G technology in the coming time.

The point here is that after all, what are the principles of such generations in the technology, and what changes have been brought, what are the types of these generations? So today I thought why not give you complete information about all these mobile generation and the technology used in it, so that you people can understand it easily. Together you can also tell it to someone else. Let's start without delay and know what is Mobile Generations?

If the meaning of Mobile Generations is understood in the right way, then we can call it a series of generations which is upgraded every 10 years. Where it started with 1G (first generation), over time there were many such changes and we had many generations like 2G, 2.5G, 3G but all of them got upgradation and started converting to each other. Right now we use 4G technology, but do you know the meaning of this G? If not, then there is nothing because we will understand about it in a very good way.

Often people do not know anything about this 'G'. They simply use it because it is brought into use by everyone. 'G' literally means 'Generation', for example 3G means Third Generation, while 4G means Fourth Generation. This number is just a representation in it, of the evolution of technology. Just as the new technology was invented, the generation of technology also continued to grow. If I talk about now, then now we are using 4th generation of wireless communication technology. By the way, this technology was started with 1G and it has also increased with time, 2G, 3G, 4G are all subsequent technologies.

Right now most wireless carriers are currently supporting both 4G and 3G technology, which is quite handy, so where there is no 4G coverage, 3G speed can work. If we put a little sight in the past, then 1G was first introduced in 1979, since then a new mobile generation has been released every 10 years. All these technologies are used in mobile carrier and device. According to the generation, they have different speeds and features which continue to grow generation wise. 5G will be launched in the coming time.

There are some different telephone network standards in each generation, which shows the technological implementation used in a particular mobile phone system. As speed increases, so to achieve that speed, that technology also has to be changed.

For example 1G offers 2.4 kbps, 2G offers 64 Kbps in GSM Technology, 3G offers 144 kbps to 2 mbps while 4G offers 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps and which is based on LTE technology. Along with the advancement in technology, many new features are also seen in the new generation, because in the end the main purpose of wireless communication is that how can they provide high quality, reliable communication.

Who Discovered Wireless Technology?
Wireless technology (wireless waves) was discovered in 1894 by Guglielmo Marconi and Karl Ferdinand Braun. At the same time, he was awarded the Nobel prize in Physics in 1909 for his contribution to the field of Wireless Telegraphy.

Types of Mobile Generation
Here we will learn about the types of Mobile Generations and how they changed. Then let's know about the types of Mobile Generations.

1G: Voice Only
It is also called First Generation Wirless Technologies. Together, it only supports Voice Calls only. It was first introduced in 1979. 1G is analog technology, and the phones where it is used have very poor battery life and voice quality. Apart from this, it is not very secure and inconveniences like call drop frequently come in it.
Let us know something about 1G Technology:

1G technology uses FDMA for different SubscribersA in a single channel by a single user.
The maximum speed of 1G Technology is 2.4 Kbps.
Voice quality is very low and it has a great effect from noise.
It supports only voice call, not data.
Mobile handset batteries provide very little backup.
Voice in this system is modulated to higher frequency up to 150 MHz or more.
It is a bit more costly because only 1 subscriber per carrier supports it, for which very few calls support in a tower.
